Experienced. Accomplished. Passionate.
I am Tonya Griffith, and I am honored to announce my candidacy for Delaware County Recorder.
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio.
For the past six years, I have created the next chapter of my life here in Westerville. I have had the privilege of being part of a community that values education, family, and progress. My two stepchildren graduated from Westerville North High School, and they are a testament to the strength of our local educational system.
Experienced.
I bring to this candidacy close to 30 years of experience with the State of Ohio, where I have worked on multiple projects collecting and tracking data related to procurement and contractual agreements, including those involving state-owned facilities across all 88 counties.
Accomplished.
One of my significant accomplishments was standardizing the contracting process. When I started with the state, each office processed contracts differently, and reporting wasn’t shared across the agency. One of my proudest moments was transforming a paper-based process into an automated one, allowing for better monitoring and reporting. This change helped offices with planning and continuous improvement, reducing the processing time from 125 days to 55 days.
Efficient.
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to streamline processes and make systems more user-friendly and efficient. Now, I am excited to bring this expertise to the role of Delaware County Recorder.
Passionate.
I am passionate about researching, tracking data, and reporting—skills that are crucial for this position. As your County Recorder, I will work to ensure that our community's records are accurate, accessible, and efficiently managed.
Committed.
I am committed to streamlining processes, just as I have done in the past, to make our systems more user-friendly. Your support is essential to bringing about the positive change we need.
